Music is identity, music is communication, music is inevitably part of our lives.

The way music reaches us is vast, we do not only hear music on the radio, on CDs and Mp3s, music is everywhere, on television, in adverts, it is everywhere we go, we can listen to music in bars, clubs, even when walking down the street.

Music is probably one of the oldest forms of human communication, it expresses identity and emotions and in turn lets listeners feel emotions.

In the centuries music, in the form of hymns, national anthems, love songs, or political protest songs, provoked and still does emotions of religiosity, patriotism, romance or revolt.

In recent years music was also identified as  the player in the formation of the identity of young people. The process includes not just personal identity, but identity as a whole in terms of national, cultural, ethnic and gender identity.
